Jubrique, a Gem in the Serranía de Ronda

From the harmonious union of four small Moorish villages emerged Jubrique, a municipality in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda, renowned for its rich tradition in wine and spirits production.
Its charming whitewashed houses and narrow streets blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape.
Once in Jubrique, don't miss the fountain of the Lavar River, once a public washhouse and the town's only water source. Jubrique's churches, steeped in history and art, also deserve your attention.
Start with the picturesque Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, where the sacristy houses images of the 18th-century Virgin of Candelaria and a Nazarene Jesus with natural hair. Built in the 16th century on an old mosque, this church exudes a special atmosphere.
Continue your visit to the hermitage of Santa Cruz de Choricillo, traditionally housing an altar dedicated to Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.
After this enriching exploration, head back towards Ronda, and consider having lunch at Venta del Rio, a renowned typical restaurant known for its succulent flavors. If the weather allows, you can even cool off in the river under the bridge.

To say that Casares is a gem is an understatement. While most white villages are beautiful, there's a particular atmosphere in this one that encourages the visitor to park their car and explore its picturesque streets.
Begin your exploration by parking at the bottom of the village and head towards Plaza de España. From there, wander through the winding streets, climbing up to the fortress to enjoy an extraordinary view of the coast once at the top.
Then descend towards the Mediterranean on a 14-kilometer road, turn left towards Estepona, and finish your adventure by returning to your beachfront apartment in Estepona.
